Stories
Through Speed the Light, our missionaries are provided the tools they need to speed the gospel around the world. And they are grateful for the sacrifices students have made and continue to make so that people can hear the message of hope. If every student gave just $100 to STL each year, every missionary's vehicle and equipment needs would be met!
Here are just a few of the testimonies we've received from our missionaries and the students who have sacrificed:
Uruguay

We are very thankful for our little Toyota Corolla. it has taken us all over Uruguay as we minister in camps, retreats, seminars, and outreach services. It is our little workhorse1 We would have been unable to plant a new church in a town 70 miles away from the capital city had it not been for our STL car. STL also provided us with PA equipment, which has been invaluable in our outreach work.
Also, STL helped us purchase a keyboard, which has also been a great asset in our ministry endeavors. All of this equipment has a great deal of mileage on it, but they are still in GREAT working order and continue to serve us and the Lord in their respective assigned duties.
The church in Santa Lucia, Uruguay, would have been virtually impossible to establish if we did not have these valuable tools to assist our work there.
Also, our Nissan pickup vehicle has helped us haul many, many people to the meetings as we went out with invitations, tracks, and literature distributing the hope of the gospel and then physically taking them to meet with us under the tent. Many of our passengers have been handicapped by some physical impairment, and without a mode of transportation, they would not have made it to the tent outreach.
Our little car continues to haul us and our equipment everywhere. We also have been able to reproduce materials to help train our different teams who then can take our material into their communities. In the future, we will be needing a larger vehicle as we travel into the rest of the country, taking teams of 15-20 young people with puppets, literature, PA, keyboards, music, and LOTS of energy and prayer to reach not just the children of Uruguay, but also their moms, dads, grandparents, and neighbors.
Thank you, Speed the Light, for giving us the tools and putting in our hands the equipment that enables us to propagate the gospel of the Kingdom in the land we have been called to. God bless your efforts. All of the car washes, the dinners, the bake sales, the fund-raisers, etc., add up to souls who now have heard the gospel because students cared enough to give of their time, their money, and their prayers! Maybe in heaven we will have a STL reunion corner - those who have given, those who have received, and the Lord who brought all of us together.
God bless all of you.
